The Direct Access Endoscopy program means you can book yourself in directly for endoscopy (gastroscopy or colonoscopy) at Wollongong or Nowra Private Hospital on an available date of your choice, without requiring a prior consultation with the gastroenterologist. A referral from your GP is required.

Patients with private health insurance
Most policies will cover gastroscopy and colonoscopy. Dr Lee and the anaesthetists provide a no gap service if you are covered. Contact your insurance provider to understand your cover include your excess payable to the hospital.
Patients without private health insurance
Self funded option is available. Contact Dr Lee’s office for a financial consent. It will include the cost break down for hospital facility, Dr Lee’s, anaesthetist’s and the pathology fee.

Dr Thomas Lee operates through Seaview Clinic and South Coast Specialist Health Care. These are not bulk billing practices. Medicare will cover part of the cost of your consultation, and you pay the difference or gap. Our office will inform you of the fee prior to you making and confirming your appointment. DVA Gold card is accepted.
